The monkeypox (mpox) outbreak: where did it come from, where did it go and are we ready for the next one?

Nick is a consultant physician in sexual health and HIV, is president of the Australasian Society of HIV, Sexual Health and Viral Hepatitis Medicine, chairs the Australian national monkeypox taskforce and a researcher at the Kirby Institute, University of New South Wales. He has been a GP in a community gay health centre and worked extensively in international programs, including as director of the US government funded HIV treatment programs in Vietnam.
