In mid 2022 in a world traumatised by COVID-19, a new pandemic threat appeared on the horizon - this time a sexually transmitted viral infection. Headlines were grabbed and anxieties raised, but a year later there are now almost no cases in UK or Europe.  Was this good luck or good planning?
